About me

Hello, I am James from a small town in East Yorkshire called Hornsea and I am the man behind the steampunk-inspired decor in my shop.

My love for building and fixing things started at a very early age. It wasn't until I started full-time work at a Local Chip shop at the age of 15 that I was allowed to express my art and design skills through menus and website designs. A recent revamp of our restaurant allowed me to explore my artistic visions even more where I designed and made lights, wine racks, and even an 18ft art piece made solely from iron pipes and fittings.

It was after finishing the restaurant and after we reopened and the compliments started to come in. All of a sudden my work was getting the wow I craved. People asking where they could get things made, I thought to myself I have the tools and craftsmanship needed to start a business out of this.

It was then that the inner businessman started to rush through my blood. This wasn't a new venture for me I started at the tender age of 11 at school selling sweets and drinks to fund the life of a teenager who wanted things in life and wanted to express his personality through sheer hard work and determination. I then moved onto other business ventures all whilst working and studying at school. Selling a product then became a hobby a pastime all whilst making a little extra cash eBay was and still is a source of income.

So here I am, with a website I designed and created myself selling something completely different from the rest. A product I crafted with my own hands, an item that will sit in people's houses, an item that will grab people's attention, an item that will make people say wow! That is what truly makes running this business the pleasure that it is. I can't put words to describe the feeling I get every time I pack up a lamp or a decor piece and send it off to someone's house where they can then treasure it for as long as possible.

This isn't work for me, I build to please and I enjoy every minute of it.

Have you got one of my items? Maybe you should I would be more than happy to attend to your every need no matter how big no matter how small...

Thanks for reading

James Smith
